FAQ

Read Frequently Asked Questions the clients of Schwartz Family Home Care ask about our caregiver services.

How do I know if my aide will be the right fit?

Our dedicated team of RNs personally meet every client to match the right caregiver with the personality of the client and the type of care needed. Through years of experience in the health care industry, we have found that the better the match, the better the care.

What are the rates charged for the caregiver services?

Rates are determined by the level of care needed and the rate requested by the caregiver providing the service. You may contact our office at (954) 598-2000 or email us at [email protected] and we will assist you to determine the level of care needed.

How are the Caregivers screened?

Caregivers are comprised of a diverse group of well-trained, experienced, licensed, and insured caregivers, all of whom speak English. All caregivers are Level 2 FBI screened according to Florida state law and the Agency for Healthcare Administration. References are verified and all credentials are kept up to date and on file.

What types of payments are accepted for our services?

We accept payments by Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and all Long Term Care Insurance Policies.

How quickly can services start?

Right away! Our quick-start home care approach delivers the care you need when you need it.

What happens if our Caregiver is sick or isn’t available to work that day?

On days when your caregiver is unavailable, we make every effort to find a substitute who has been to your home previously or that is a great match for your care. We will call to notify you of the situation.

How do I know what will be covered by my Long Term Care Policy?

At Schwartz Family Home Care, we understand that navigating the world of insurance can be overwhelming, especially when coordinating a medical issue for a loved one. We can help take that burden off your shoulders. One of our RNs will personally come to your home to answer all your questions regarding your policy. We will call your insurance company together to verify your benefits so that you know exactly what is covered. We accept assignment of benefits and complete all necessary claim paperwork so that you don’t have to.
